KinderGym Parent’s Day
Thank you to all our amazing KinderGym parent’s and guardians who joined us this week for
The Grande Prairie Gymnastics Society (GPGS) was founded in 1973 by a dedicated group of parents, including Dr. Bob Waldenberger and Diana (Kuhlman) Tissington, who shared a deep passion for gymnastics. This vision for a strong gymnastics community was further strengthened by Bethe Goldie, a retired Physical Education instructor at Grande Prairie Regional College, who laid the foundation for the club’s legacy of coaching excellence.
Our Gymnastics Active start programs are designed to introduce young children to the fundamental movements, skills and physical literacy through the sport of gymnastics. These programs focus on age-appropriate activities that support the development of basic motor skills, coordination, balance, strength, flexibility and spatial awareness.
Our programs often incorporate fun, engaging, and imaginative activities to encourage a love for movement and play. Whether they’re jumping on trampolines, climbing over mats, or rolling like pros, every session is packed with action and excitement!
At the Grande Prairie Gymnastics Center, we believe that every flip, jump, and roll is a step toward building confidence, strength, and a lifelong love of movement! Our Recreational Gymnastics programs are designed for kids aged five & up to grow, have fun, and master new skills in a safe, supportive, and exciting environment. Whether your child is a beginner or ready to take their gymnastics to the next level, we’ve got the perfect class to match their energy and enthusiasm!
From exploring the basics of gymnastics to conquering advanced tricks on the floor, vault, beam, and bars, every session is packed with opportunities to challenge their body, mind, and skills.
The CanJump Program is a fun and engaging recreational gymnastics program designed for children of all skill levels, from beginner to more experienced gymnasts. With a focus on building foundational gymnastics skills, CanJump helps athletes develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence, all in a positive and supportive environment.
Our Recreational Cheerleading classes provide the perfect introduction to the exciting world of cheer! This program offers a fun and low-pressure way for kids to explore cheerleading, learning the essential skills and fundamentals of the sport.
Participants will develop their abilities in stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, dance, and formations—all in a supportive, non-competitive environment. It’s a great way for your child to build confidence, teamwork, and athleticism, all while having fun, without the commitment of a competitive cheerleading program.
All-Star cheerleading is one of Canada’s fastest-growing competitive sports, and Gymniks All-Stars is proud to be part of this exciting movement. Unlike traditional cheerleading, All-Star athletes don’t represent a specific school or team—they cheer for the love of the sport and the pursuit of personal achievement.
In this dynamic and highly competitive program, athletes perfect a high-energy, two-and-a-half-minute routine that combines acrobatic stunting, tumbling, and dance. Along the way, participants build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination, while learning the importance of teamwork and dedication. All-Star cheerleading is the ultimate team sport, where each athlete’s contribution is vital to the team’s success.
Parkour is the ultimate adventure for young athletes, where creativity, agility, and athleticism come together for an exhilarating experience! Designed for aspiring adventurers ages 5-12, this class emphasizes safe movement while encouraging kids to push their limits and express themselves through freestyle motion.
Under the guidance of our expert instructors, participants will develop confidence, improve coordination, and enhance strength and flexibility. Parkour promotes teamwork, problem-solving, and the joy of discovering new ways to move—whether running, jumping, climbing, or flipping!
Athletes in this group will learn and refine a variety of gymnastics skills throughout the year, with a focus on progressing in all areas of WAG, including balance beam, vault, uneven bars, and floor exercise.
Our Adult Gymnastics program offers a fun and supportive environment for adults looking to stay active, improve fitness, and explore gymnastics. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have prior experience, this class is designed to help you develop foundational gymnastics skills at your own pace.
